Online Gaming

Online gaming?
What’s so important about this?
First off, I’m not talking about those little games you find on yahoo, shockwave, etc.
I’m talking about what can be called Massively Multiplayer Online, MMO, games.
Do you know?
I do.
These games are important to the upcoming generation of kids and to people of almost any age.
Why?
They allow interactivity.
People can get that from chatrooms and such?
No they can’t.
We will take Halo for instance(any of the three will work).
During online play, you can take place in team matches.
This is the most fun in any game.
You’re wondering why killing each other is important to my kid, right?
Yes it’s very important. Only at a certain age. That age is what can be called the age of accountability, the age when right can be deciphered from wrong.
Violent video games relieve stress.
Now, the team matches promote team work. People learn how to communicate with each other. They also learn the cultures of people from around their country and the world.
MMORPGs are the best at this. They let people to develop more emotions due to the fact they are playing someone besides themselves. In an MMORPG a person creates another life for him or herself. It allows them to be anything they want to be.
Plus it’s just fun.

Myspace Censors!!!!!!

Censors, yes, but not in the way you’re thinking.
Myspace has recently been compromising Net Neutrality.
Suppose you type in a link for http://rewer.com, then Myspace will just delete it.
It’s not just rewer but other small video and pic hosting sites.
This is a tactic to keep business at Myspace.
Net Neutrality usually isn’t compromised in this way.
It’s usually companies like AT&T and Comcast have been blocking sites their customers can go to all together.
This doesn’t hurt the large companies like youtube, Myspace, and AT&T. It hurts the small companies that don’t have billions of dollars.
It hurts you, also. It takes quality content that’s not the norm away from you.
Entertainment that’s new.
So let Tom know of his mistake.
Tom’s Myspace
Send him a message or start a chain bulletin and let it make it across myspace.

Bad drivers

Have you ever been driving down the road, and all the sudden someone does something that makes you mad? For instance, I can’t stand it when someone stops in the middle of the road to turn, and doesn’t put their blinker on.

I thought about a new website about this.  I’m not sure if it will work or not, so I need opinions.  I’m not that great at php, so I would have to read up on it some before I did it.  On the website, you would need to register before you could do anything.  When you register, you put all the license plate numbers in and what kind of car they are.  Then, whenever someone makes you mad driving, you note their license plate number, and report them on the site.  If this person has registered, they will be informed that someone doesn’t think they can drive good.  You will have rankings like good driver, bad driver, and so on based on who has reported you and for what.

That’s the most of it, I would need to add some things to make it more interactive, but I think it would work.  What do you think?

highest paid keywords

I recently read that some Google Adsense ads pay MUCH more than others. This is the list I got from etienneteo.com.
Highest paying 5 keywords
$69.10 mesothelioma treatment options
$66.46 mesothelioma risk
$65.85 personal injury lawyer michigan
$65.74 michigan personal injury attorney
$62.59 student loans consolidation

Rank Keywords
1 mesothelioma
2 cheap auto insurance
3 consolidate student loan
4 life insurance quote
5 cheap car insurance”

After looking at this, it probably makes you want to make a site devoted to topics like mesothelioma. Here’s a hint, don’t. That’s just stupid, because you probably aren’t an expert on the topic, and if people are looking up mesothelioma on the net, they might have it. The last thing they need is some false information. Why are people paying tons of money to get traffic to sites about mesothelioma and car insurance? Use common sense, every one of these make huge amounts of money. Another reason is, If someone is a professional at treating mesothelioma, they don’t need adsense, they make millions a year most likely treating patients. For this reason, they are willing to dish out a little more money to make sure their ad is shown, and not they competitors.

If you have a blog or website, it’s not really smart to out of no where start talking about mesothelioma, because you will drive your normal visitors away. The bottom line is it’s stupid to make a site intending to get high paying ads.

gain 20+ hours a week??

Polyphasic sleep, if you have not heard of it, where have you been? It’s hard to believe, but there are some people who say that it is possible to spread out sleep throughout the day, sleeping just 3 hours total daily, and have more energy. I have never tried it, I plan to, but my schedule is tight right now.The whole idea supposedly started with a post on the “Everything2 article” blog by PureDoxyK. The method was named the Uberman’s Sleep Schedule. The idea behind this schedule is to sleep 20-40 minutes at a time every 4 hours. From what I hear, it takes a week or two to adapt and change your body’s clock. During the adaption period, you will experience intense sleep deprivation, so if you plan on trying it make sure you have 2 or 3 weeks with nothing to do.

The advantages of of polyphasic sleep are more sleep (obviously) and more energy, but the downfall is that you can’t miss a sleep ‘nap’ for more than about an hour. If you miss a nap, your body will let you know, so this will possibly interfere with your work schedule if you don’t work from home. Another downfall is boredom. Most of the people you know either sleep at night or work at night, so what will you be doing in the middle of the night, every night?

Well, polyphasic sleep sounds cool, I hope to try it in a few weeks, and I will keep you updated how it goes.

Day after Thanksgiving sale.

Well, I just experienced (for the first time) some crazy bargain hunters. This morning at 2:00 AM I went to a local Wal-Mart to attempt to get a computer for my aunt. It was crazy, let me just say that I have never seen the parking lot FULL before today. I personally do not think it was worth me being there that early, but my aunt just had surgery, and she was unable herself, so what’s family for… There were people jumping in front of people, and snatching stuff so fast. The whole pallet of computers disappeared in maybe 5 seconds at most, but I got what I came for.

5 years left to live??

If you have not already heard, there are quite a few people who think the world will end as we know it on Dec 21, 2012.

I recently watched a very interesting show called “The Lost Book of Nostradamus“, and it talked a lot about a book that was recently found that had drawing that were supposedly by him. The last one they showed showed a picture they depicted to show the end of the world being in 2012.

Not to long before the Lost Book came out, a friend of mine, Cody, told me of a show he saw about the mayan calender. He said that their calender went backwards, and stopped on dec. 21, 2012. These people knew years and years in advance when eclipses would happen, so they knew something.

survive2012.com is an excellent site to learn more about the predictions, as well as well as from wikipedia’s site.

How to receive more traffic

Many people ask how to get more traffic to their website, but not to many people know how easy it can be. If you want more website hits through search engines, there are many things you need to remember. The first and most important is DO NOT write senseless crap hoping to get higher in search engines. The real secret is that people search using phrases that you would say if you were talking to someone. If someone writes or posts hoping to get higher rankings, a lot of search engines catch onto what you are doing, and will possibly penalize your page ranking. The second rule to follow, use tags, but only if they relate to your page. If your page was about getting more traffic, don’t use tags like “making money online”. Search engines are getting smarter and smarter, so don’t make your page to make the engine happy, make your page for your viewers, something that people find ‘important’ or ‘helpful’ and you will rank high.
